Zero Waste Drape Dress- Vintage Abstract

The Zero Waste Dress, a Grecian style light weight dress with ooodles of fabric pulled in at the waist with a belt.

These dresses are made from two large rectangles. These rectangles are the full width of the fabric which means zero waste!! 🌍👍 The only part I have to cut off is the selvedge (the woven edge of the fabric), this is simply because it is usually messy and uneven or printed with text. I then take these long thin pieces of waste and make twisted cord....when I have enough, I plan to make some bowls and placemats! 👌😁

The Zero Waste Drape Dress is made from roll ends, repurposed fabrics and/or natural fibres. They are to be worn with a belt, pulling the fabric in a the waist to create a striking hourglass silhouette. PLEASE NOTE the belts are not included as people generally already have a belt they would like to use...again saving on wasteful shopping!
